There's a pleasant beach in front of the Rainmaker Hotel on the outskirts of Pago Pago town. The view from Afono Pass looking over Pago Pago harbour is not be mised. Vatia Village and the Amalau Valley in the heart of the National Park are home to many forest bird species. From the village ther's a good view to Pola Island with walking trails The beach front at Tissues Barefoot Bar is amongst the most picturesque and theres offshore surfing but the seas are trechorous for swimming. There are two simple A-frame bungalows here for rental and the Thursday night traditional feast is excellent. Pyramid Rock is a picturesque beach setting in a quiet rural village along the south west coast. View to Aunu'u Island from the south-east coast of Tutuila. The island can be visited on a day trip from Au'asi Village to explore the coastline and red lake. The Weather Station here offers tours of its facilities and fine views to Tula Village and along the rugged northern coast. Coconut Point and the busy suburb of Nu'uuli between the airport and Pago Pago. Tia Seu Lupe, one of the few remaining ancient star mounds that has been preserved and cleared. The coast at sliding rock with its black volcanic terraces. Virgin Falls in the rainforest surrounding the 650 metre high Matafao Peak. Leone Village, once a whaling station and important archaeological region. On the coast are grinding holes close to the ancient stone quarries higher up in the hills. There's a pretty beach at Amanave along the south west coast. The wild west coast of Tutuila offers great views from the coastal road.
